Macadamia and white choc chip cookies!
I was making Macadamia and White Choc Chip Cookies last night for a snack at the movies (I watched Olympus Has Fallen - great movie! XD)
The recipe was surprisingly easy to make! I didn't use an egg beater, I just used my hands! It was SO FUN LOL!! I also halved the ingredients, click on the link for the original recipe . This is what I did and it made 24 cookies about 5cm in diameter ^^
Ingredients:
125gm MeadlowLea spread (butter was the recommended ingredient)
100gm white chocolate coarsely chopped (I used half a block of Milky Way chocolate!)
130gm macadamias coarsely chopped
1 tsp vanilla essence (it's cheaper than extract, but they taste the same lol)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 1/4 cup plain white flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line two baking trays
2. Beat butter, brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla essence until combined
3. Add the egg and beat until combined
4. Sift in flour and baking powder, beat until there are no more lumps.
5. Mix in the nuts and chocolate, just until they are even in the mixture
6. Place spoonfuls onto the baking tray, make sure they are evenly spaced, and bake for 12-15 minutes or until light golden. Take them out and stand them for 5 minutes.
Tips:
* I don't have an electric beater, so I used my hands, I found that it was easier to smash out the lumps in the flour and butter. It was also really fun!! Remember to thoroughly wash your hands though!
* Don't wait until the cookie is firm inside the oven, take it out when it's golden and soft to touch without it sticking to your hand. When I first tried baking cookies, I waited until they were firm to touch, and LOL they harden when they cool and DAMN they became rocks that could stone people to death HAHAHA
The ones on the right are slightly under-cooked because they had a rack above the tray, whereas the left side was just on the tray. I guess next time I won't be using that rack!
Enjoy and have fun cooking :)

I will post up the recipes when they email it to us, but yeh, the normal cookie is a bit yucky tasting and has so much fat and sugar... which is pretty much the basis of a lot of desserts......
The ANZAC cookies are yummy though XD

First Cooking Post! =)
Hello~~~ 8D
Haha! First cooking Post! Thanks liz for this awesome idea! I'm going to have so much fun posting on this blog! 8D I had a lot of fun cooking today. We made as Liz said before Tiramisu and Oreo Stuffed cookie cupcakes! Just hover over the words and click. They have links that open a new window for the recipes. 8D Its 2.15am I still don't feel tired... Must be the coffee from the tiramisu!
The Oreo cupcake was really easy too! All we did was: Slab peanut butter between two Oreos then cover it up with cookie dough and bake!
And Tada! Heat attacking Oreo cookie cupcake! I think it was nicer eating it straight from the oven! It was still a bit soft and warm! 8D Ate one after it cooled down and it was rock hard.....

I really enjoyed making tiramisu. It was really easy and tasted awesome! We didn't have enough cream..... we just went crazy putting it over the lady fingers!

After making so much heartattacking food! I think we should cook something healthier next time! haha! I'm going to look for some healthy recipes then blog about them here so they would be easy for us to find! Haha I should be going to bed lol! I'll be back soon but haha! going to blog about some restaurants I've been to recently! 8D mmmmmmm
Intro!
Hello world!!
This is me!!
Life should be!!
Fun for everyone!!
Yup! Yet another foodie blog has been born!! XD Me and Eba will be posting up our food adventures here. Posts will range from restaurant reviews to trying out any new recipes we find enticing. We will credit the original recipe and include what we did to make it our own. (Not because we're ultra creative or anything, but more because we are just making the most of what we already have)
I came up with this idea because we live so far away from each other, but this is one way we can keep in touch with our love of food!! (we frequently cook and eat during times of procrastination - like now, I have an exam at 9am tomorrow, but here I am.. blogging about food!) XD
We had a cooking session today, we made tiramisu and oreo+peanut butter+cookie dough cupcakes!! XDD Those recipes in the next posts ^^
Until then, enjoy all the delish foodies out there people! XD
